December @ the Vineyard Part 2
Last week I mentioned a couple of big events we have coming up in December. There are two other events that are coming up, and like our Free Gift Wrapping Outreach, both are geared toward serving people in the Ithaca area.
Christmas Dinner in a Box:
For the third year in a row, we are going to be putting together Christmas dinners for many of those in our community who are in need. The boxes include ham, potatoes, veggies, & a bunch more stuff. Last year we delivered 40 boxes on Christmas eve, and this year we are hoping to blow that away! If you would like to make a donation towards this out reach, you can do it online or Sunday at the Vineyard. If you would like to sign up to help, put the boxes together, or deliver them, please use our contact form and we’ll get you set up.
Christmas Eve Dinner:
By now you’ve probably caught on to how orignial and innovative we are when it comes to coming up with names for various events @ the Vineyard…which means that you probably have a good idea what Christmas Eve Dinner is. What you may not have figured out is why we are doing this. Since Ithaca has so many people who are far away from home, & unable to get back for the holidays, we are inviting as many of them as we can to come and join us for a meal prior to our Christmas Eve service. Whether or not they stay for the service is up to them. We simply want to use the opportunity to show God’s love to people in a practical way. If you would like more information, please use our contact form and we’ll get it right out to you.

I am a person in transition. My wife Elizabeth & I moved to Ithaca in 1994 to start a campus ministry at Cornell and we planted the Ithaca Vineyard in 1999 where I am currently lead pastor. I also serve as a University Chaplain at Cornell University . We live in downtown Trumansburg with our 4 high quality daughters.
This summer our family will be moving to Dublin, Ireland to plant a church there.
