Friday Data Dump
This Friday’s data dump is a bit different than normal, basically because Elizabeth & I have shifted our sabbath this weekend. Rather that Saturday, we’ll be enjoying our sabbath on Sunday this weekend. We made the shift for a couple of reasons…the big one being that we are still not totally moved out of our old house yet. We’ve been trying to do a bit here and a bit there on Sundays after church & the odd weeknight here or there, but that has not worked. So tomorrow, we are hoping to get pretty close to finished. (if you’re really bored tomorrow & looking for something to do…:-)
The other big thing going on this weekend is no kids. They have all headed to Western NY with Gramma & Grampa so that they can attend one of their cousin’s birthdays…she turns 10 on 10/10/10. Pretty cool, huh?

Actually, there isn’t a lot of data to dump this week…
Week 2 of our series, Christianity Beyond Belief will be this Sunday…I’m already enjoying this a lot!
We’ve been adding some features to the church web site:
- a page where we’ll be posting various announcements as well as Sunday’s worship set
- an online bookstore
If there are other items you would find helpful, please let us know.

My kids were asking me my 5 favorite all-time movies last night…I’ve never been good at ranking stuff like that…Others may push these out, but the ones I came up with were ( in no specific order):
Fight Club (I’d say more, but you know the first rule of fight club…)
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (only time I ever watched a movie & then the next day went out, bought & read the book in one sitting),
3 O’clock High (you’ve probably never seen this movie, but you should)
The Matrix (only the first one),
O Brother Where Art Thou (this spot might better read, anything by the Coen Brothers)
Feel free to tell me why my choices are bad.
****
Why can’t the Twins beat the Yankees. My head is already hurting at the thought that they might win another world series.
****
I started listening to Linchpin, by Seth Godin on my iPhone. I am loving this book! My favorite quote so far, “never let the lizard send an email!” You’ll need to read it for that to make sense!

It still hasn’t really hit me that we are going to have a kid…

Well, I could write more, but, my kids are gone for the weekend, so I’m going to go hang out with my wife!
Have a great weekend!

I am a person in transition. My wife Elizabeth & I moved to Ithaca in 1994 to start a campus ministry at Cornell and we planted the Ithaca Vineyard in 1999 where I am currently lead pastor. I also serve as a University Chaplain at Cornell University . We live in downtown Trumansburg with our 4 high quality daughters.
This summer our family will be moving to Dublin, Ireland to plant a church there.
